If I level my truck, do I need longer shocks?

In most cases you would level your truck using a longer shock, but this is dependent upon your application.

Stock 4x4 trucks typically have a nose-down, raked stance. OE vehicle manufacturers purposely bring down the front end of a 4×4 to eliminate rear sag when loaded/towing, and decrease vehicle wind resistance.

Leveling kits are designed to level out the uneven stance and increase the ground clearance of your truck. In most cases, the slight lift will also allow for bigger tires. When coupled with high-quality aftermarket BILSTEIN shocks, a leveling kit can increase on- and off-road handling too.
