What lift height does Bilstein recommend installing an upper control arm.

Bilstein recommends upgrading to an aftermarket upper control arm (UCA) when the front suspension lift exceeds 2 to 2.5 inches.

Why Upgrade the UCA?

  • Improved Suspension Geometry – Aftermarket UCAs correct caster and camber for proper alignment, which factory arms may not achieve at higher lift heights.

  • Increased Suspension Travel – Their design allows more down travel without interference from the coil spring or frame.

  • Reduced Premature Wear – Factory ball joints can be stressed at extreme angles after a lift, while aftermarket UCAs maintain better joint alignment and longevity.
